Let's learn and Have fun while doing it!

I am here for you. All I aim to do is ensure that your child understands the work they are doing, and teach them a much easier way to comprehend what they are attempting to learn. As a child it can be hard to relate to the work at hand, and as a teacher it can be very complicated to break down the learning material so that the child may understand the lesson. I am here to make learning fun and easy so that grades may improve and education is achieved.

Drawing is one of my top subjects! I have been drawing with various types of pencil since about the ninth grade. I can't exactly explain why but drawing seemed to come to me as naturally as breathing. As with Sketchup, I have learned several methods for drawing over many years that most will find very beneficial to drawing an accurate likeness, especially with regard to portraiture of people and pets.

My teaching style is usually hands on however where possible, I also have the ability to tutor remotely, greatly increasing the opportunity for distance learning.
While I have not received a degree in any of the fields that I am experienced enough to tutor in, I have been working in the Audio Visual industry for over 12 years and have learned a great many things that are essential to successful use of any of these tools.Whether you live near me in North Carolina or in Hawaii and need my assistance, please feel free to drop me a line and lets see what I can do to help you.

Currently a sophomore in High School, I'm looking to tutor up to around the 6-7th grade levels. I have very much experience in science especially. Currently in biology Honors. Math, Science, Civics, and Art are my main specialties. For a cheaper rate, I also love to teach art. Also language-wise. I have a year of French, as well as a semi-year of Spanish that I can teach beginners, perhaps give them a head start on what is to be in High School. Lastly, I’m fairly understanding in test preparation and strategies even so keeping organized.

I received my Master Degree of Art in Animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design in March 15, 2011 and my B.F.A degree in Graphic Design from University of Bridgeport, CT in 2006. Before I came to the United States, I completed my B.A degree in Fine Art at Nanjing Arts Institute in Nanjing, China. My comments on tutoring Drawing : History of free hand sketching, and drawing for fun. Familiar with classical tools to help enhance perspective style drawings.

My experiences come from a mix of studies and real life application. I have studied various forms of writing, from professional, creative, and argumentative; these include gather sources and properly citing them in both MLA and APA formats. My personal applications of these writing materials have been for personal use in working on short stories and poems. I have an extensive history with drawing, mainly through personal sketches (both cartooning and realism). While in college, I have also studied several techniques that have greatly improved my drawing practices in the form of realistic drawing.
My teaching style is very hands on, and student focused. I like to connect with whoever I teach on a personal level so that they can feel comfortable with me as a tutor and with themselves while learning how to approach old problems in new ways.

I am currently a high school junior. That being said, I do not have a degree. However, I am in the top 20% of my high school class, I take only honors classes, and actually learn the material so I can tutor a student who needs help. I would love to help any child or student who is wanting to excel in their studies. (:
I would describe my teaching style as friendly. I try not to give off so much of teacher-student type atmosphere, because many children get discouraged and are not as comfortable and not as willing to learn.

Drawing is one of my top subjects! I have a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2D Animation. Since graduating from college, I have spent my time working in the art field. I currently run a small studio where I create realistic custom pencil portraits. I've worked with kids of all ages and am confident that I can come up with a great plan of study for you.

I have worked with kids ages 3-15, developing curriculum for various types of art. I'm open to working one-on-one or in a group setting. We can set up a schedule that works for you - weekly or bi-weekly. Each student is different, therefore the curriculum will be different. I can work with the very basic student just starting out to the experienced.
Each lesson is based on what the client needs.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am offering Arabic lessons one-on-one and online. I am an Iraqi native, and am fluent in standard Arabic, and colloquial dialects of Egypt, Iraq, and the Levant (Syria, Palestine, Jordan). I have been tutoring adults in Arabic for 5 years. I have experience teaching one-to-one and in small groups. I have mostly taught adults, but could teach children as well. I volunteer in a daycare and am very good with children. I have worked as an English-Arabic translator.
My approach is to meet the goals of the students. I am able to help with writing, speaking, reading, and listening. I can teach standard Arabic. I also know other Arab dialects, such as Iraqi, Egyptian, and Levantine Arabic (the region near Palestine, Jordan, and Syria) we can discuss your goals and needs. Students all have different goals. Some are beginners who have not yet started learning the alphabet ... read more

K-12 (+ some college) Math and English Tutor

FIrst I figure out what the problem is student's approach to answering a question or studying a concept. I look to see what they know and if I notice something missing in their understanding I'll fill in that "gap" by showing them a more easier or revealing process to answering a question. Before introducing the approach I know that works and I've used because I'm not a genius by nature, but by experience I'll talk to the student about important ideas that they need to know.
I'm permanently a student. Before I joined the Air Force, while in the Air Force, and after I separated I've been school. Coincidentally, I separated to take the opportunity to go back to school. Currently, I'm studying engineering in North Carolina at UNCA and planning to transfer to the University of Colorado premiere engineering school. I know the process of getting into the Air Force (at least the top jobs ... read more

I really enjoy working with students. My teaching philosophy is that all children can learn. I subscribe to the constructivism approach to teaching. This is where students scaffold their own knowledge from other experiences. I believe that if you can get a student interested in something they are more likely to enjoy what they are learning about and are more likely to be successful. I am cheerful, kind and enthusiastic which I also feel help encourage students to be successful learners.
I graduated from Heidelberg College in 2004 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a Reading concentration. From there I worked as a substitute teacher until getting my own classroom in 2006 I taught 3rd grade from January 2006 until June 2008. I left that position to pursue other career options. During my college experiences I often tutored students in Reading. While teaching, I tut ... read more

I learned through visual aid. So, I guess I would lean towards this style of teaching. However, if a student learns better with audio aid then I would be willing to combine the two methods to better educate the student. My goal is to provide the best education possible and to suceed in that is to have great communication and alittle fun doing the work that is expected.
I have not taught anyone or tutored anyone for money. However, I would like to have the oppitunity to be able to tutor children or young adults on their way of the journey of life. I too was tutored going through school and not just once. I attended Sylvin Learning Center every other year since sixth grade. It helped me understand the areas that I didnt and excel in the areas I did. I would like to give thas opportunity to someone else.
