I have recently graduated from North Carolina State University with a BS in Biological Sciences with a minor in Genetics. During college, I taught/tutored 7th graders at a local middle school in the areas of math and science. I was responsible for full lessons as well as small group tutoring and science experiments. I was able to set-up lessons for the children to explain how math and science works together in order to provide data. Therefore, the students were able to understand how data transforms from quantitative data to qualitative data through graphs and pictures. I learned through visual aid. So, I guess I would lean towards this style of teaching. However, if a student learns better with audio aid then I would be willing to combine the two methods to better educate the student. My goal is to provide the best education possible and to suceed in that is to have great communication and alittle fun doing the work that is expected.
I have not taught anyone or tutored anyone for money. However, I would like to have the oppitunity to be able to tutor children or young adults on their way of the journey of life.
