I'm a teacher aide, currently working my third year as an instructional ENL assistant at Shelbyville High School. I provide tutoring help in English and Spanish assisting with homework in Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Spanish, ENL-English for students who first language is not English, (Comprehension, and Reading & Writing) to Elementary, Middle, and High school students. (I got a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineer in Colombia.) I feel confortable working with Hispanic students, and adults, too. A Little Bit About Me...

Having graduated with a BS in Mathematics I am now continuing my passion for learning while pursuing a masters degree in Nurse Anesthesia. My liberal arts degree from Hillsdale College has given me extensive work in all areas of learning. In the past eight years I have taught music theory and piano lessons, tutored Junior High School - University students in Mathematics and English, and instructed Halfway House residents in Mathematics, English, and Sciences in pursuit of obtaining a GED.
I have always been passionate about working with different students and finding their unique learning strategies. I am supportive and very patient, but persistent in the achieving success for the student. My ultimate goal is above teaching subjects. It is to provide the student with a love for learning and the skills needed in tackling academic tasks.

Gaining and sharing knowledge has been a driving force throughout my life. Literacy is one of the greatest gifts we can give to our children. Having taught grade levels from preschool to adulthood, I know that everyone learns in their own unique manner and at their own time.
