I'm a college student double majoring in criminal justice and psychology. I've taken through calculus I in high school and I was considering a math major. I've tutored peers, siblings, and younger students in math, forensic science, psychology, and biology. I'm still learning, myself, but I got all A's in my math classes in high school.

Psychology is one of my top subjects! I hsve experience tutoring at Westfield State University as a psychology tutor in nine subjects including child development, adolescent development, Learning, behavioral modification (Applied Behavioral Analysis), Social psychology, health psychology, psychology of human sexuality, theories of personality and sensation and perception. I am part of the psi chi international honor society. Only tutors that got an A- or better could tutor in psychology. I graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in psychology and I am a very compassionate person willing to help research, write, find articles for projects, and help excel and study for exams.

I usually allow the person to come to me with questions and ask me what they are struggling on and help them from their or review the basic concepts and say them out loud to the person I am tutoring. I help students go through their books and synthesize material and help students write papers and come up with proper conclusions and introductions to his or her paper.
I tutored in my last semester of college at Westfield State University. I have taken 122 credits in psychology. My psychology G.P.A. average is 3.74 and my overall average is 3.551. I have helped students excel at college-level classes where some students were failing. I am part of the international honor society in psychology. I love helping other people. Although I only have a bachelor's degree, I have helped many students at college excel at their classes and achieve A's when they were struggling.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored high school students who are college bound during my undergraduate years at William Paterson University of New Jersey. I also tutored my fellow undergraduates. I then pursued a doctorate and was active in many peer study groups where were tutored each other in neuroscience and organic chemistry. I have a love for science which shows through my enthusiasm in imparting scientific knowledge to others.
My style is dependent on the student. While the end result is having a student understand the material, the way of achieving this varies with each person. My philosophy is that education should be as individualized as possible because people do not learn in the same manner. For instance, some people are visual learners while others, like myself, are auditory learners. I strongly believe that educators should expose their students to as many fields and ideas as possible. I greatly enjoy finding a way to inspire a child to understand the problem at hand. Through from my experience in grade school and my observation of students that attend tough schools I've realized the monotonous class schedule and disciplinary philosophy of most schools deflates most student's desire to succeed. Math can be fun, especially when applied to exciting applications. For my work at NASA and the MITRE Corporation I use concepts from Calculus I-II almost everyday. Inspiring students to become excited about math and science is one of my life-long goals. Step by step visual diagrams can be effective tools for describing complex ideas.
