My job as an educator is to teach them how to learn it and make them want to learn it. I personally do not believe that negative reinforcement is beneficial. Positive responses to students are extremely valuable, even if they may occasionally give the wrong answer. This will give them the motivation to do well. My comments on tutoring Literature : Having been interested in books all my life, I have experience seeing beyond the writing in literature to pick out the themes and motifs. I understand that characters and settings can symbolize more than one idea, I have experience noticing foreshadowing, allusions, etc.
