I have held accounting jobs for over 25 years including doing payroll, sales tax returns and tax returns. I worked for a CPA so I did the accounting for all his clients which gave me experience in different businesses. I attended Southwestern Community College in Sylva, NC however didn't get a degree due to my mother's health.

Accounting is one of my top subjects! I have taken classes in Beginning Financial Accounting/Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I/II/III, Managerial Cost Accounting, Auditing, Accounting Information Systems, Governmental Accounting, Corporate Taxation

Depends on the needs of the student. In my first meeting with best friend's daughter, I gave her a sample quiz to fill out to gauge where she was. Then, we began to work through areas where she was having the worst issues. I focused on those and explained things to where she could better understand. I had her do homework then we went over it the next time we met. At the end, I had her take a comprehensive test over areas we had covered that helped to prepare her for the test. I worked with her closely and was pretty much hands on in terms of teaching style.
I don't have much experience in tutoring students. However, in what experience I have, has been limited to college students and my my best friend's youngest daughter. A Little Bit About Me...

After closing my small business I want to indulge my passion as an educator. Directly out of college I accepted a position as Math teacher at a private school, teaching different levels of mathematics to 7th & 8th grade students. The courses touched on the basic concepts in subjects such as; Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics and Intro to Calculus. I left academia to pursue a business career but I continued to work with kids. I taught in the Junior Achievement program at a local high school, I tutored individuals, and I spent many years coaching soccer at the middle school level.
