I enjoy teaching children of all ages, particularly on a one-to-one basis. In addition, I learn from the children. I believe a child learns best through individual attention and the opportunity to have those "aha" moments. People of all ages can meet and exceed their potential. My experience with tutoring children is that we have made a difference in each other's lives. As one who received a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, I've always loved education. With corporate background I have excellent grammatical and communication skills. In the corporations in which I worked, I wrote training manuals and trained and counseled managers and supervisors. If they can see real life applications for the skills they are learning they will become engaged and enthusiastic. Patients is a amazing thing to have when trying to teach. Many students learn at a different pace and I feel that finding that pace for every student is important. If you try to cram or learn something to quickly it only become heartache and bad grades. In College I would form groups to try and study for upcoming test or exams. Doing this it really helped me to learn what I was studying and how other people learn as well.
