A Little Bit About Me...

I am patient, considerate, and teach with a style that makes a student feel good about himself/herself. I have straight-forward expectations and work with my student to hone them to a particular subject or situation. I am funny, and I work hard to create activities that are appropriately challenging, but fun. I want my students to miss me when I am not there!
I am currently a paid tutor at Montlake Elementary School, assisting with language arts and math - at all levels. I have a secondary school teaching credential, and I taught English, reading, and ESL. As a lawyer, I have excellent writing skills especially in organization and editing. Computer skills include the physical use of the PC (personal computer) and Microsoft Office software—Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Windows. In my classes, I also included the teaching of good writing skills for my students to use in writing their term papers. Other subject proficiencies include psychology, sociology, math-statistics, history, physics and library skills.
I taught to engage the audio, visual and kinesthetic capabilities of each student in the learning process.
