A Little Bit About Me...

I used to teach Japanese to American people who were stationed in Naval Base, Japan. I worked at Naval base as a contract specialist for 15 years and moved US on 2008. I don't have teaching experience in US but I have two children, 16 and 18 years old and they both speak perfect Japanese. I like teaching them with watching Japanese TV shows and movies. My comments on tutoring Japanese : Intermediate to advanced spoken Japanese, moderate written. Best when working with beginner Japanese students.

I worked as an ESL teacher in Japan for almost four years teaching people of all ages, from toddlers to senior citizens. The opportunity to live in Japan, coupled with study in university has also given me an intermediate level of Japanese. In high school I also had a position as an assistant teacher at a karate dojo, working with large groups of children of all ages. Additionally, having studied and/or worked in Japan, the UK, New Zealand and most recently Australia, I have familiarity interacting with people from wide ethnic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds and can alter my teaching style accordingly.
