My comments on tutoring Study Skills : Study skills are of critical importance especially early in a students academic career. Finding a students specific mechanism of study is a something important for sucess. Some study best in libraries, some with the radio blasting. You have to be odd to be number one!

I have little experience in tutoring. However, I have always helped my younger sister as well as some children I have babysat in the past. I am a teacher by degree and have tutored a number of students in how to build their grades. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and have a speciality in Esol. I believe the most important area for a student to learn is to first learn how it is he/she best learns. If the student learns by listening, then we concentrate in that area, if the student has to read and take notes, then we concentrate this area.
