A Little Bit About Me...

During my last year of college, I was employed by my university as a science/math tutor. During this year I was able to help students with their science problems of all levels. During my time in college I was involved in reading biomedical research papers.I was able to attract many students interested in the biomedical research field to learn how to read research papers. I was very proud of myself for this due to the high difficulty first year graduate students have reading these papers.

I worked for thirteen years in a standard office position. I went back to school to get a degree in Mathematics with the intention of becoming a teacher. With that goal in mind I have taken every opportunity of the past three years to help other students with math. I have tutored every subject in math from elementary algebra to differential equations to various different types of learners. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching to me is a matter of discovering those small differences in learning style that students may not recognize and having the flexibility to offer a variety of paths to understanding. The goal is conveyance of a particular skill set through whatever means available willingness to offer different approaches of teaching tailored to a particular student's strengths and weaknesses.
