I am a one on one person when I teach or tutor. I homeschooled my son for one year before sending him to public school and found that to be quite rewarding. When I tutor a student, I like getting to know the student, their experiences and how their perceptions of topics that they will have to write about in the college arena. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that all students learn differently and should be treated as so; with this being said i believe that each student should work at their own pace and should be helped to find strategies that help them learn.
I currently have a bachelors degree in sociology with a minor in elementary education. During the past 4 years and working in the early childhood education industry I realized that many teachers were not getting the proper training that they needed to receive to help the children that they are serving. I enjoy helping people in any way that I can. I would like to help your child be able to understand what he or she does not have a good grasp on as well as hopefully teach them how to be academically successful. While teaching my father how to use the computer, I learned patience. While employed at the high school, I learned that not only does every child learn at a different rate, but what works for one, does not work for everyone.
