I have been working at Hermitage High School in Henrico County as an English teacher for the past 4 years. I have taught 9th grade, but I have spent most of my time teaching 11th grade. I have taught a variety of "levels," from standard to college prep to honors. Every year I teach about 130 students. Lawyer Turned Homeschooling Mom Can Make Learning Fun!

I have a law degree, but most of my experience comes from working with my own kids and spending hundreds of hours volunteering at their schools helping other children. I home schooled my children for 3 years for the middle school years and so I have experience motivating the surly teen who has no motivation to work as well as the young child that just wants to play.
