I enjoy teaching and investing in children. I was credentialed as a Substitute Teacher. When I taught in public schools teachers would request me by name to teach for their classes. I have experience working with elementary ages through high school and even adults. When teaching I try to break complex materials and concepts down into practical illustrations and concepts so the student can see the big picture then fit the concept into that picture. I spent one year tutoring accounting students who had difficulty grasping the basic concepts of accounting. I was able to explain the accounting concepts in different wording than the text books and I also created a "cheat" sheet to help them understand how to handle different accounting transactions. The students I tutored always improved their grades dramatically and quickly. This gave me immense satisfaction! I always strive to make a difference in students' lives.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from UW-Madison with a BS in Dietetics. In order to obtain this degree, I had to take a wide variety of Science courses including: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, and many others. Not only am I well versed in Science, I have a background in Math too. In highschool, I completed the AP-Caluculus course with a score that allowed me to bypass any college math courses. However, I have refreshed my math skills since I recently took the Graduate Requisite Exam (GRE) and received high scores in the math section.
