I have always approached a teaching lesson as a learning opportunity. Learning is a fundamental skill. If you don't have your basic fundamentals, your student will have difficulty advancing. So, I always start with basic fundamentals such as; note taking, study skills, and comprehension! All sciences demand the ability to link concepts together. Ex. cells make up tissues, tissues make up organs, organs make up organ systems,etc.....! By understanding the make-up of cellular structures and relating that to tissue functions the students can fully understand a subject. This proves true with all subjects. Speaking is one of my top subjects! I have completed public speaking at the University of Florida with an A. I was the president and founder of a Toastmasters branch in South Florida. Toastmasters is a global organization that has weekly meetings to help people become better public speakers. I have given many presentations in many classes at UF and have always received compliments on my speaking. I am working my way to become a motivational speaker one day.
