My teaching style is to find out what a student is good at and build on that success to improve areas of concern. I use humor and a laid back style with organization and skills to increase probability of success in academic areas. I believe every student is different and learning styles are unique. I keep coming at a problem in different ways until we find a method that works. I listen to the student and approach difficulties as challenges giving the student courage and confidence.

My first job as a lifeguard and swim instructor helped me understand how to work with children ages three to fifteen and really get a feel for how their brains operate and the proper learning styles to use for each age.
