I truly believe that children learn differently, and my objective is to find that nitch in a child, and teach/tutor from that angle. I feel like children have to be able to relate to things in order to truly understand them. When you expose a child to things they are unfamiliar with, it opens up their capacity to learn and comprehend better.

I love working with children and young adults. As a Music major, I have been giving singing, piano, and theory and sight singing lessons for many years. There is nothing more rewarding that watching a child learn and knowing that you helped him/ her get there. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati majoring in Civil Engineering. While in school, I had two different tutoring jobs. The first job I had was with Mathnasium now known as Lumen Learning Center in West Chester, Ohio. At this job, I taught first grade through Trigonometry. This gave me the experience of working with groups of students in different grade levels and different learning styles. After this, I worked for the University of Cincinnati’s Center of Access and Transition teaching up to Calculus. I taught freshmen who had not been accepted into a program and back to school adults.
