I graduated from a German university in 2011 and have lived in the USA since November the same year, teaching my husband, his family and friends German. I believe learning is about confidence. I have seen numerous students doing poorly in courses because they were convinced that they were not capable of learning the subject matter. Small successes help to build confidence in order to move on to the subsequent challenges. I believe in starting with the basics, and making sure that the students truly grasps the subject matter before moving to more difficult concepts. Often, it takes several different approaches before a student is able to understand the concept. I believe that with patience, I can find the right approach and help most students perform at a higher level.
