A Little Bit About Me...

Attending a private liberal arts college taught me to push myself to be the very best I could be. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Classics with an emphasis on Greek, and a minor in English. I tutored for a January term Beginning Greek class, as well as whenever students stopped in the office and needed help with Greek or Latin. I have proficient language and mnemonic skills, since I studied the roots of language for 7 semesters. I enjoy proofreading and editing, and consider myself to be a "word nerd."
I worked as a camp counselor for 3 summers, and understand that everyone has different learning styles. As a fresh graduate I feel the need to be a part of academia. Tutoring is the perfect opportunity for me to strengthen my abilities while simultaneously helping students achieve success. My goal is to be a college professor and tutoring is the first stepping stone. Being able to help students reach their full potential is my passion and my goal in life.
English and education have been a passion of mine for my entire life. My undergraduate experience at the University of Minnesota Morris exacerbated this characteristic.
