As a graduate of a small junior college I believe one on one teaching gives students the advantage over a large group because the child can receive the necessary attention for learning skills in reading, writing and math. Many children learn differently some are visual learners,some are audio etc. I have been instructed through various techniques in reading with chilldren that will help them achieve a higher reading level of success. A Little Bit About Me...

My background is fairly well-rounded. In high school I went to the Governor's School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM) and tutored high school students in the community in math and reading, as well as ESL. Also, part of the GSSM curriculum required students to do summer research at a 4-year institution in South Carolina. I did behavioral neuroscience research at USC. My interests then lead me to attend USC for college, and I went there for two years with a double major: English and Psychology. After a while, I found that research was not my life passion, and I transferred to Clemson University and changed my major to Animal and Veterinary Science, with the hope of going to veterinary school. I am a firm believer in relating material to real-world examples. I have found that many students are over-whelmed by material and do not see any application for the material, and thus they do not have the desire needed to absorb the material. I strive to make the material fun and break it down to small units so that it is easily absorbed.
I have spent 10 years in college academia resulting in a PhD as my terminal degree. Through my studies, I have acquired an in-depth knowledge of statistics, molecular biology, genetics, ecology, and bioinformatics to complete this degree.
