Not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire

I am a homeschool mother of four, including two dyslexic students that I have been individually tutoring for four years using the Barton Reading & Spelling System. Prior to that I taught third grade in the public school system for three years. I continue to hold a current Virginia teaching license and further my own education and professional development by pursuing opportunities to learn more about educational philosophies and methods.

Psychology Professor/Reading Specialist

Over 25 years of teaching experience (all grade levels ~ from preschool to university graduate level courses). I enjoy tutoring, as it allows me to work one-on-one with a student to best assess their strengths and weaknesses in order to help them reach their goals.
