I am flexible in my style because each child is unique. It is important to address the needs of all groups. I incorporate a variety of strategies so that all are involved and challenged to learn. I began working in Tangipahoa Parish February of 1983. Private lesson teaching is my favorite teaching. It is a unique opportunity to adapt one's teaching approach to a single individual, to create the perfect learning environment moment to moment. I believe absolutely in every human being's ability to learn, and in their ability to attain the sense of personal dignity that grows out of learning success.
I have spent the last seven years as lecturer in Music Theory at Southeastern Louisisana University. I have tutored in Music Theory while at this post at back through undergraduate school. I have taught private lessons in piano by both Suzuki and Traditional methods for over 20 years. I believe my experience in writing a thesis and articles in my field would qualify me to tutor in academic writing.
