A Little Bit About Me...

I have been working with children at different levels. I use creative posters for the younger ones and like to teach the basic vocabulary to use when you meet other french speaking people. I like to use simple pictures and after learning the vocabulary they can imagine their own story. My children have learning french at school here but I noticed that they don't use enough the speaking part which for me is important. The french grammar is hard to learn and sometimes it is not easy for them to understand in a short time. I hope also to be able to teach about my country which is Belgium.

I have always loved foreign languages. I grew up in a Polish speaking home so was exposed to different languages at an early age. I concentrated my studies in the French language as a major in college and added Spanish as a minor concentration. I have also studied Polish along the way. I have taught and tutored French and Spanish for 31 years. I have also tutored students in English. I consider myself a linguist and have a broad knowledge of all three languages that I have taught.

As an new immigrant in 2001, with 2 1/2 years of College in Electronics, I was very much driven to continue my education here in the US. My former studies were in French and thus had to start my college education over in 2002. I obtained my Associate Degree in Basic Engineering from QCC and later obtained my BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from WPI. I have work experiences as an Design, Test/Diagnostic Engineer.
