My comments on tutoring World History : I have a history Minor attached to my undergraduate degree. I specialize in Russian History, American History, and European History.

I love sharing my knowledge with others, whether it's in a group or one-on-one. I make sure that my pupils can easily comprehend what is going on during the lesson. Questions are a good indicator that active comprehension is taking place, and I am there to make sure that any and all questions that are to be had will be answered. I'm not one to "spoon-feed" per se, but if specialized attention is needed on a specific topic or subject, I am there to help with any and all questions that may arise during the process.

Reading Comprehension Tutor Seeks New Learners!

I have over thirty years of experience in the field of both Elementary and Secondary Education. Turning your weakness into your strength

I help guide the student along, having them discover much of the information in a trial and error fashion. I tend to use the questions they are struggling with the most, making similar examples, then walking them through these problems and breaking down the problems until the student understands the how the process works.
I have been tutoring for over seven years, starting with my peers in tenth grade. I have tutored a wide range of subjects, from Geometry through Calculus III, from general computer knowledge through utilizing the advanced functions of Microsoft Access. I have tutored people ranging from my peers to people three times my age, to as young as third graders. My motto has evolved into "Helping those who feel they can not be helped"

I am patient but firm. In order to be a success in the business world, one must be able to write and speak the English language correctly. If the student knows English, everything else in general business can be taught. Thus, in a tutoring environment, I try to make learning fun and make a game out of speaking and writing proper English. I believe that every child can learn even those that are handicapped. I have a BA in Geography in Earth Science and Geography and I am state certified in NC with teaching credentials in History 9-12 and Middle School Mathematics and Social Studies. I have 32 hours Graduate School credit towards an M Ed.. I have tutored students in all disciplines with emphasis in Mathematics both Middle and High school.
