I graduated with a BA from Rhode Island College in 2005, and went back to work on a MA the following fall. I am currently finishing up my degree and should be finished with my MA this spring. During my graduate career I had an assistantship where I helped set up classroom laboratories, aided in teaching then and also tutored students in Biology. I enjoy working with students and helping them learn what can sometimes be difficult concepts in the scientific disciplines. I believe that all students have the ability to understand these concepts if they are presented in ways that they find interesting. I like to use multiple techniques when teaching, including the use of computer programs such as PowerPoint to show diagrams, pictures, graphs and short videos to illustrate the key points and concepts involved in a lesson.
