Most any subject can be made interesting if approached the right way. Mostly it is about patience and good respectful communication. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always enjoyed teaching people in a one-on-one or small group environment. It allows me to tailor my teaching style to fit the individual student or group I’m working with. I enjoy using creative methods to teach a topic, including creating multiple ways to explain a term or concept and providing analogies to concepts that are familiar to the student. All people comprehend concepts in different ways and at varying speeds. Thus as I teach a concept I am constantly looking for signs of understanding, and then stop and reinforce a concept when it is apparent that the student does not understand. A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked the past two semesters as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University. In the fall, I taught a weekly section of 14 students in Introductory Nutrition and this past semester, I instructed a lab group of 10 students in Human Anatomy and Physiology. Additionally, I have done both volunteer and private tutoring for standardized tests and individual subjects consistently for about 7 years. I have tutored for SATs, MCATs, as well as a variety of subject tests, ranging from mathematics to Spanish.
