A Little Bit About Me...

In science and math the learner has to practice much like learning to play a musical instrument. It helps if you can bring real world applications into the classroom so it is meaningful to the students otherwise they feel like they are learning something just for the cause of learning.
While completing my teaching degree I taught for three years with troubled youth. Subjects were regents level and the subject was earth science and algebra or course I as it is called in NY. My first career was as a Registered Professional Nurse (NYS licensure) for 25 years. During those years, I kept up my interest in various fields of math, such as Abstract Algebra, Differential equations, and topology. I was especially interested in algebraically-capable computer math programs. I,eventually, went back to school for my Mathematics degree as part of a long-standing interest in and commitment to Mathematics.
