Teaching for me is a calling. My reward is watching my students grow academically and socially. As a lifelong learner, I seek to ignite a spark for self-discovery in my students' lives. I have experienced firsthand how the arts have helped children grow, providing them with academic and personal success. I know that with the right evironment, structure, and guidance, a child is able to reach for and exceed their potential. A Little Bit About Me...

Children learn in different way, and have different levels of enthusiasm for different subjects. I think that the way to encourage a child's success is to identify the ways in which the students learns best, and to understand what subjects/topics interest them. If you can relate to a child, your ability to motivate them and encourage them is amplified. I like to challenge students and to encourage them to think on their own. I believe positive reinforcement is important to children whose self-esteem might be low due to perceived lack of academic ability.
Through my studies in Environmental issues and Landscape design, I have taken many writing-intensive classes, science courses and geography courses.
