I like to discover what my students already know about the topic and to expose any misconceptions. Brainstorming activities work well for me. No two children are the same, and we know that this is correct, so therefore it applies to their learning ability as well. Some children need visual simulation to really ingrain the principle that is trying to be understood. While other's learn by complete repetition.
