College History Instructor – US, World, Test/Study Skills

I have ten years of experience tutoring at both the K-12 and the college levels. I also have experience adapting to the needs of students with various learning styles and learning disabilities. I have eight years of experience as a college history instructor, 3 years as a rater for advance placement history, and I will be receiving my Ph.D. in history in 2016. I am experienced in US and World History. Furthermore, I have taught college honors writing and writing intensive history. I also am a scoring for several national tests, giving me insight into the test taking skills you need for the AP, ACT, SAT, GRE, LSAT, etc.

My teaching style may vary depending on the student. I would have to get a feel of what the child like and dislike about the subject he or she is struggling in. I would also want to obtain a list of goals or expectations from the student's parents in order to implement a plan that will aid both the student and I to accomplish the targeted goal.
