I took high school and college seriously. After college I worked for several years before attending law school. After law school I decided to combine my legal experience with hands-on medical skills, and I enrolled in a Registered Nurse program at SUNY Delhi, which I will complete next May. This summer is a lull before completing my education and embarking on a medical administration career.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and appreciate that subjects such as chemistry can be very difficult for young people. This difficulty is often present for two reasons. The first is that chemistry is not necessarily intuitive. It studies particles that are too small to see and cannot be observed directly. The second is that most of the basic theory is derived with very advanced math and most students are taking chemistry in the tenth or eleventh grade. This means that a conceptual understanding is crucial to success. A Little Bit About Me...

Over the past year, I have tried to extend my ability to share my love and appreciation of English and literature with others. As an English/Communications major, I am very knowledgable in a variety of subjects including grammar, writing composition and reading comprehension. Last year, as President of the Writers Forum, we spent several months tutoring as part of an after school program where we helped children in Baltimore write.
For writing, usually I conduct some exercises. The level of the critique and what to say depends heavily on the age of the student.
