As I read the example noted below, I hear an echo, YES, I too love to teach. I see myself as a mentor. Listening and watching how people learn, what they need to know and formulate the best way to establish a program to achieve their goals. Each individual possesses their way of learning that may be derived from their environment, culture, family or a combination. Whenever possible I try to use diverse medias to experience topics from various views stressing constant feedback to assure comprehension is taking place. Sine high school, I have worked with children in BOCES. However, I started college later in life, after children and marriage. I wanted to provide my children with an education that I couldn't afford since I knew nothing of grants in 1974. I started with my AA and did not stop until I achieved my MS. My education has taught me discipline, research, study habits, and critical thinking skills. I have tutored students K-12; in Language Arts, Reading, Literature, English, Parenting, Nutrition, Careers, and electives for 11 years. Each individual student has taught me something new.
My teaching style is to discovery how each child learns, whether it is visual, audio, movies, written, tactile, CD's, adaptive technology, and re-learning. A Little Bit About Me...

Besides my formal degrees, I believe it is my experience that makes me highly qualified for a tutoring position. My experiences include working in rural, urban and suburban school districts. I have also worked with children with disabilities through the Center for Disabled and as a special education teacher in an inclusion classroom. Through my graduate program, I tutored at a summer reading program. During this six week summer reading program, I used a balanced literacy approach to help my student become a more confident reader and increase her current reading level.
When students have both an academic instructor and a caring educator they are provided with a unique learning experience and able to learn and grow as an individual.
