I have a long working history since College in accounting and Finance. Areas include Banking, Health Care Accounting, and freelance accounting/bookkeeping. I currently hold an Associates of Science Degree in Accounting as well a a Bachelors degree in Commercial design and mass communications. I have experience as a part time instructor for the Insurance Department at MTSU in Murfreesboro.

After high school I achieved a BS from George Peabody College for teacher, however did not teach for money until many years later after I received my MS. My work in clinical psychology has been mostly with children, the severely mentally ill, and abuse cases. My last full time position was teaching high school material in a one room school to students who were wards of the state. I taught anger management for the local courts for eight years. Now I teach parenting classes for divorcing couples for the Giles County court. I also occasionally teach a seminar for attorneys on body language.
As both a teacher and a counselor I have worked to develop a teaching style that is student focused. I believe the best environment for growth is a safe environment. My teaching style communicates clear expectations while at the same time allows room for the growing pains of learning new information. Encouragement and positive reinforcement can go a long way in motivating students.
