I taught Special Education in New York for 1st to 6th grade, all subject areas… I have taught Middle School here in Las Vegas for 8 years, in the time teaching middle school I taught Math, and English. I also taught Elementary School here in Las Vegas for 4 years during that time I taught all subjects. I graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2007 with a BA in communication studies. I have been involved with senior theater programs, and I am currently mentoring for a non-profit organization. The program is for senior men who are 55 years of age, and are trying to obtain a GED and re-enter the workforce. I also have two young children that are currently in 2nd. and 3rd. grade. I have a completely hands on approach to teaching. I work with the student to see what it is they understand and what they do not. From there we work through the different areas until the student fully understands what they are missing. This allows for the student to feel as though they have a sense of accomplishment. I have tutored for many years. I first started tutoring in High School, then while I was in College and lately for the neighborhood children. I have brought younger children up to speed in reading (k-5). I have worked with children in Middle School and High School with their math work. I have tutored pre-algebra and algebra.
