I have earned two bachelor degrees which has given me the chance to motivate other youths and kids to seek the world and don't let it end with High school. There is more to life. Granting that Education is the key to success and without education there will be no sense of direction.

I have worked as a teacher on the Big Island, and spent over ten years as a volunteer trainer at public access television facilities in New York and Texas. I am currently seeking tutoring work as I complete the last year of my online "masters in elementary education" program. I have a bachelors in Psychology, and twenty years of working experience, 5 in supervisory positions. I can teach elementary and high school level work. In the past I have taught primarily science, media and reading/writing. I am current on modern tutoring methods and practices.
I believe that once a student can enjoy the process of learning they can begin to internalize the good study habits required for academic success. My passion is to teach and work with students of all levels and ages. Being and ASL teacher I must be dynamic and engaging as the instructor. From my experience I have learned different ways to interact with students to keep them interested in the material. My overall goal, of course, is to enable the student to comprehend the course material in a way that they can understand and relate to.
