My comments on tutoring Spanish : I am not a native Spanish speaker, but I have been learning the language for many years, and I have a minor in it. I can help most with grammar, vocabulary,and reading.

I graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in English Literary and Cultural Studies and a minor in Spanish. I have taught ESL conversation classes for almost three years now, and I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (also at OU). I have helped many people with over 100 essays, and I worked as a Writing Assistant in the OU Honors College Writing Center for one year, helping students in a wide variety of classes to improve not only their individual essays but also their overall writing abilities. A Little Bit About Me...

I generally try to remain as friendly as possible with the tutee so that he/she can relax and learn in a comfortable environment. I work on a first-name basis and try to make sure that the student is LEARNING, rather than merely finishing his/her homework. I teach using a Platonic method, asking prodding questions and getting the tutee to figure out the material him/herself. Occasionally, I have to teach in a more stern and disciplined manner b/c the student is distracted or doesn't feel like doing the work. In these cases, I remain disciplined to emphasize how important learning the material is but do not speak or act harshly.
