In the summer time during my undergraduate career I worked as a camp counselor and coach in Colorado for children from the ages of 6-18. After completion of my BA I coached at my alma-mater. From there I decided to pursue my graduate education and took a scholarship in the althetic department at the University of Arkansas where I became an academic advisor for the football team for 4 years. In the summers during my graduate career I worked for Sylvan Learning centers. I began as an English teacher and filled in on Math when they were short handed. A Little Bit About Me...

I've always known that I wanted to work with children and adolescents. Prior to college, I was chosen to enroll in a course that helps those desiring to work in education or any filed working with young people. Also, I worked as a Substitute teacher and Paraprofessional Teacher for a special needs classroom over the course of a school year; which include the areas of reading, mathematics, science, and language arts. I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology with a minor in Sociology in May of 2009, and I am currently working on my Master's of Counseling. A Little Bit About Me...

As a recent college graduate with a liberal arts education, my teaching style is very eclectic. I believe it is most important to be nurturing and more of a coach, illuminating strengths and breaking down weaknesses, than an authority giving busy work and breaking down morale. Most students respond more positively and make more efficient use of their tutoring sessions if they somehow find a way to enjoy the subject matter.
