Elementary, Middle, High School and College Tutor

I usually start with a diagnostic test to concentrate on weaker areas then come up with a weekly plan focusing on those areas. After a lesson, I usually give worksheets and sometimes online exercises, depending on the subject, and use videos and games if applicable.
I have tutored and mentored students for more than five years in Algebra I & II, Trigonometry, Physics, Chemistry, English and ESL. I have a degree in Psychology and a certificate in TEFL. I believe tutoring is a really helpful and useful addition to class and studying by oneself because it is reviewing class material once again and it is a way for students to be accountable to yet another person who knows the answers to their questions and can help them work to that answer as well.

A Little Bit About Me...

Dedicated, patient, caring and knowledgeable are all the characteristcs that I would want in a tutor. Those are definitely characteristics that describe me. I have worked with children for the past 12 years in settings from private, public and special needs population. I enjoy working with children and teaching. I am graduated from D. I. Mendeleev in Moscow, Russia. I have earned a MS in Electrical Engineering which enabled me to gain understanding in many areas of math and science. I am specialized in the area of Information Systems with extensive working experience since 1990. Few years ago I taught Network Operating Systems class at Strayer University and about a year ago I started tutoring Math in a Math lab for PGCC.
