I have just graduated high school, and have just finished thirteen years of learning. I have ADD, and have had a semester's worth of interning at the Specialized Language Development Center, working with kids who struggle with reading, writing, and comprehension. Kids brought to the center are usually dyslexic, ADD/ADHD, or have some type of learning disability, however, those without disabilities come for help too, ranging from kindergarden all the way to college level students.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that students do not learn the same way. My teaching style incorporates all learning styles. When teaching a lesson I believe in using secondary reading sources, technology, video clip and other creative outlets. I believe that you must motivate the student to learn not thrust curriculum at them hoping it will sink in. I have five years of experience working with troubled youth and students with disabilities.

I enjoy working with young children and high school kids. I believe that it is important to get anyone I teach to be active in the education they are recieving. I love the one on one interaction a tutor has with the students. I believe all children have a unique style of learning and we need to help them find their own way of learning.
