As a recent graduate from University of California- Santa Barbara, I am eager to put my acquired skills and knowledge to use. I have earned a bachelor's degree in Global and International studies with an emphasis in Latin America, which has provided me with the opportunity to understand many different cultures and value the importance of education. My teaching style is modeled after the Princeton Method, which is the way that I was taught to teach tennis. The Princeton method focuses on the positive. So instead of saying "don't skip the hesitation for a period mark", I would say "remember to hesitate in between sentences".
I started teaching tennis to juniors at the age of 16. I enjoyed that very much. For close to 10 years I taught at a country club in Connecticut. During my time there I did not focus on winning, but our record went from 0-7 to 7-0. I attribute this to the power of positive teaching. After I completed Loyola University MD, I went into B2B Corporate sales, where I was successful, but my passion remained with teaching. Recently I was a PE Coach at a school, and I started an after school program for tennis and golf for the children.
