I like to teach individual or group lessons. At college of the Desert, I had a reputation for being an easy going with a lot of patience when tutoring. My teaching philosophy is to listen to the student and to focus in his or hers needs. I use scientific or graphic calculators when needed. Also, I use computer software to accelerate their learning experience.

I am a natural teacher, and my experiences reflect that. For example, I am currently working my way through CSU Palm Desert's multiple subject credential. However, the open position I am applying for requires an “Adult Education Writing Tutor”. As a student and professional, I have had many, many opportunities to hone my writing craft. For example, as an adjunct to my recent studies, I took the Masters "Writing 101" class, which instructed me (among other things) in the finery of APA format.
