My comments on tutoring Accounting : Majored in Accounting as undergraduate. Several years experience in corporate and public accounting. Designed and installed many basic accounting/bookkeeping computer applications. Also served as adjunct accounting instructor at Community college.

I try to present each subject area as a sample problem and show EXACTLY how a solution is reached. Then I invite the student's participation with a view toward understanding the student's thinking. While accuracy in math is vital, understanding the steps involved is crucial.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a teacher/professor and Dean of a University for 15 years. I got my BS in Life Sciences and one year of MS in Molecular Genetics. I continued on to get my MBA. I have taught English, Math, Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Business courses and other science courses.
There are so many different teaching styles and learning styles. As a tutor the teaching style is going to be dependent on the student's learning style. Not everyone can teach. As a Dean, I had to interview many potential instructors. I believe that a teacher needs to be caring, compassionate and encourage students at all times.
