Biology is one of my top subjects! Received an A in Biology at Richland Community College in 2010, and received the distinguished award "Most Outstanding Biology Student of the Year" for 2010/2011 Academic School Year within the college. I also received a B in Microbiology the same year. I plan to continue my education in Molecular and Cellular Biology, and eventually Neurobiology.

I am a natural teacher - it's what I do when I'm not getting paid. I just like to share knowledge of what, why, when, where, and how. While at Springfield College I started tutoring some of my fellow students in the areas of math and science for a little extra cash. I have always wanted to mimic the kind of tutoring I received as a struggling math student in middle school. I find that most people tend to learn best when they can relate a concept to the real world. As a result, I tend to use examples, analogies, and diagrams often when I am explaining a process or concept. I also try to incorporate hands on learning as much as possible. Everyone has a different learning style, so through interacting with my students I try to understand how they best understand the information I provide to them. I am a firm believer in nurturing curiosity and trying to provide a reason or purpose for every subject and idea, even if it is not something the student finds particularly interesting.
