I graduated from Hampshire College with a degree in Anthropology and Photography. These degrees required rigorous researching including an intensive semester of independent field study. My field study culminated in a 70 page thesis and correlated gallery exhibition. In addition, I have extensive experience composing and organizing shorter research papers on variety of subjects and laboratory reports. Over the past year I have worked as an environmental educator with the Park Service and Fish and Wildlife Service introducing mixed audiences to a variety of topics related to geological processes and natural and cultural history. Previously, I have worked with elementary aged students as a tutor with the America Reads program to promote literacy. I never realized exactly why people go into teaching until I gained first hand experience. Teaching is one of the most rewarding things one can do as a profession.
