My approach is to establish a relationship with small talk and introductions. A parent must be present at all times. I will keep up with the child's work load in the respective subject and also be in contact with their teacher. But my inital style will be repetition, which I found to be most productive during my time in the military. However, I realize that there many different methods to teaching. As a student who was assisted by tutoring, I would be glad to help other students achieve excellence in their studies and gain confidence in themselves. I have been a tutor since I was in a freshmen in high school. I have tutored students in English and reading skills. I tutored a group of sixth graders, who approved their state academic scores. It was a great joy for them to see they could do it.
