The decision was based on the observation that a majority of teachers are over worked and don't have the time to provide the individual attention some students require. My style involves encouraging the effort and achievement and discouraging ornery and apathetic attitudes. With every subject I feel that a student has a specific way of approaching it, especially with science. Some students are visual learners. Some students need verbal instruction. Some students need to create in order to really grasp the concepts. Therefore, when I assist students I make sure that I can provide all of those aspects of learning because sometimes the text book does not always work. The following year I was offered a position as yearbook adviser, and I further developed my skills with high school students.
