I try to be really patient because I know some subjects aren't very logical to some students.
I have been tutoring ever since elementary school. Since I was the only one that knew how to read, I had to assist in the others' learning of Phonetic sounds. I've also tutored fellow classmates in middle school, high school, and college. I am quite flexible. I think every person learns differently and no singular method should be applied to when it comes to tutoring; this is not an assembly line. I would take things on a case by case basis and adapt as needed, ensuring the student is getting the best possible help that I can offer him or her.
I am an English major at the University of South Carolina Beaufort in my final semester of study and will be graduating in December with a BA and a concentration in writing. I stumbled upon the joy of teaching as I helped others learn to dive recreationally in my early 20’s. When I began my real estate career, I worked primarily with first time home buyers, whom I educated constantly. With the housing market collapse my desire to instruct in this manner grew as I segued into the insurance industry, and was given an opportunity to open a branch office and personally train over 50 agents in a one on one capacity over the course of two years. A Little Bit About Me...

I earned a bachelor of science degree in Adolescent/Young Adult English/Language Arts Education from Miami University in December 2008. I then taught tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade English for six months, from January to June 2009. During the 2009-2010 school year I have been substitute teaching in both middle and high school. I am currently in a freshman English classroom for seven weeks while the full-time teacher is out on maternity leave and I will be in an eighth grade English classroom for seven weeks for another maternity leave until the end of the school year.
