I have always valued education. I can remember comparing grades and discussing what we learned in class as early as 2nd grade. We had a healthy competitive spirit that helped us grown into productive adults. I first began tutoring in an afterschool program in 1995. I have always loved assisting students with learning. My teaching style, is to find the way the child learns best. Math can be taught thru several different methods or strategies. I really enjoy children and have found that it is just a minor thing or so that causes them to not like math, but when they see that there is more than one way to solve problems they change their minds. I reallly do feel that one on one teaching does help students to grasp the information, then they are more apt to show off their new found skills.
I currently am employed by the Chatham County School System as a long term substitute and as a Math Resource teacher.
