I am a calm and collected individual, and realize how long it took even myself to grasp some of the harder accounting theories. I believe it all depends on what kind of learner the student is, and how he or she manipulates the information given in text book and lectures to effectively grasp the information themselves. I am a 1988 graduate of Saint Francis University. In addition to earning my degree, I have over 20 years experience in the Accounting field. I was also am part time instructor at the Federal Correction Institutution in Frackville, Pa., where I taught inmates accounting courses.
I can communicate to all levels of individuals from children to adults, and my styles of learning are usually the same but at different levels. My teaching style depends completely upon the level of the student. I will tailor each session to the student's needs. I am a believer in mastering the basics before moving on to the advanced. I also divide (and encourage the student to divide) materials into more manageable steps, making schoolwork much less overwhelming.
