Over the past three years, I have tutored several students in mathematics, biology, and biochemistry at the Academic Support Unit of the Multicultural Life Center at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. I guided their development of individual note-taking strategies, study habits, and problem solving skills. I chose to tutor mathematics and biology in order to enhance my interpersonal, people management and critical thinking skills. Also, it was an opportunity to apply and share my knowledge with other motivated students from different academic years and majors. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always been a lifelong learner, and I see tutoring as an extension of my desire to consistently review and engage with all academic material. The liberal arts education that I received at Scripps College set the standard to appreciate and learn a variety of subjects. I received two bachelor degrees, BA in Art History and BA in French, but also spent considerable time taking math and science courses. Hello, I graduated with a PhD. in analytical chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, University of Massachusetts in Amherst. My research work during my PhD career involved synthesis, purification, analysis and utilization of proteins and PEGylated proteins in bioanalytical experiments. These experimental studies resulted in several publications in scientific journals. In addition, I have considerable experience in training undergraduate chemistry students.
